SEO Resources

Finding an SEO Resource can be troublesome. Here is a little list that we came up with to make your task a little easier. Today you may find loads of articles on the net that may confuse you. You will find tons of sites, tools, and conferences to choose from and one might be tempted to think these all are needed Or rather are any of them actually needed?? We’ve got you a list of creditable resources that might ease your work and so you don't end up being fooled or rather say being misguided but first we would like you to know certain indispensable rules.

Finding the right SEO tools and resources can be challenging. The forums and newsgroups pasted on the SEO can be very confusing to people with no SEO experience. The simple reason behind this is that these forums and newsgroups contain a lot of data that can intimidate many new users.

The first rule that one should follow in such situations is to try and get familiar within the community

Lets start with the basics; “Links” are used for navigational purposes throughout the online world. A link, can take you from one webpage to another. There are fundamentally two types of links. The first type, internal links, are used for navigating, to and fro, within the same website. The second type of links – external links, are used for navigating from a webpage on one website to a webpage on another website. Thus, another website linking ‘back’ to your website is termed as back-linking.

Four different types of links exist; these include –

  1. Do not take the forum for granted. Your query believe it or not has definitely been answered by someone else. So use the general search option to post any such problems. In short do not spam the forum with only your problems. Learn to become a good reader and a good listener. Perhaps that way you will be liked!
  2. Do not try to fight over the forum. There is a term known as flaming used by forum dwellers which means arguing over issues and blaming other people through posts. So the general advice is not to flame others.
  3. Bumping into your own post is cynical. Popping up messages just in a hope to get reply is a false belief. Even if it works do not try to use it too often as it is very annoying to other forum users.
  4. Talk in a friendly manner. Being Friendly earns you many advantages. Firstly by being friendly you gain respect among the forum members. Also you can prove you can prove your point more easily if you try to be polite. That is at least the case in the forum world.
  5. If you feel your articles do not earn you replies and tend to get bored then join the community favourites. Many forums today have games in built to keep you busy and feel good. Also you need to keep up with these games as the forum dwellers are very witty about it.

Now here is a list of resources that you would wish to use free of cost.

Finding Groups.

Finding groups is no tough task. Google provides groups at groups.google.com. Once you go there type in seo and look what is in store for you. Remember though that since these are search engines they are bound to give you the best results and it may not be the best suited one dmoz.org is another good option which fetches very satisfying results.
